The 160th Oaks Stakes took place on Friday 3rd June 1938 and was won by Rockfel (3/1 fav), by Felstead out of Rockliffe trained by Ossie Bell, who won by 4 lengths in 2 mins 37.40 secs. The winner won £7,320 (Equivalent to £460,000 in 2017) and there were 14 runners.
